The Tournament in Detail
UEFA Euro 2024, commonly known as Euro 2024, will be the 17th edition of the UEFA European Football Championship, a quadrennial international men's football championship of Europe organized by UEFA.
Format and Qualification
The tournament will feature 24 teams competing in a group stage followed by a knockout phase. The qualifying tournament will be held from March 2023 to March 2024, with the top two teams from each of the 10 qualifying groups and the three best third-placed teams advancing to the final tournament.
Host Country and Sta
Germany has been selected as the host country for Euro 2024. Ten cities will host matches: Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich, and Stuttgart.
The Henri Delaunay Trophy
The Henri Delaunay Trophy is awarded to the winning team of the UEFA European Football Championship. The trophy is named after Henri Delaunay, the first General Secretary of UEFA. The current trophy was designed in 1960 and has been awarded since the 1968 tournament.
